KBRC to air Exploring the NorthwestMount Vernon's popular KBRC 1430 will add the Exploring the Northwest radio show to its weekday lineup. The station joins Spokane's KXLY 920 AM and Wenatchee's KPQ 560 in airing the new show, which started airing in November.
Exploring the Northwest will air weekdays just after the 8:30 a.m. news break on KBRC. The station provides news and information for the residents of Mt. Vernon and Skagit County in Northwest Washington.
Exploring the Northwest is an updated version of a show aired on 13 Washington stations for 10 years. After a hiatus, radio personality Tony Miner and NorthwestTravelAdvisor.com publisher Cary Ordway are returning to their co-host duties for the daily show.
"The show had an amazing audience for many years," Ordway said, "and we are so pleased that listeners and stations are anxious for us to bring the show back."
Ordway said the show will feature great getaways for couples, families, adventure-seekers and anyone else who loves to travel the Pacific Northwest. The first segments of the new updated Exploring the Northwest visit Lake Chelan, the Columbia Gorge, Victoria, Leavenworth and Seattle's Museum of Flight.
In Spokane, the show airs on KXLY 920 at 8:45 a.m. daily. In Wenatchee, the show is heard twice daily on KPQ 560 at 8:50 a.m. and 5:55 p.m.
The show has received informal commitments from other radio stations that will be added to the network and announced at a later date. Podcasts of the show are available at NorthwestTravelAdvisor.com
