Fall bargains

Snohomish County offers price incentives to visit

If you're in the Seattle area this fall or are still deciding where you would like to take a fall getaway, you might consider heading just a bit farther north to Snohomish County. It's only a few miles from downtown Seattle but the area is so intent on attracting you to their beautiful part of the Northwest that they literally are going to pay you to come and visit.

Seattle gets all the national press and, of course, there are many great attractions that make a trip to the city well worth your while. But less well-known are the cities and towns of Snohomish County, all an easy drive from Seattle for the day or for an extended stay. From the charming waterfront shopping in Edmonds to the Antique Capital of the Northwest, Snohomish, the area boasts a number of unique places to visit as well as some major metropolitan shopping areas.

This fall Snohomish County has put together financial inducements to make it just that much easier to carve out a little of your Seattle visit for some sightseeing in the county that borders Seattle and King County. The Snohomish County Tourism Bureau has worked with its members' hotels, shopping centers and many other businesses to offer special deals for visitors during one of the most beautiful times of the year in the Pacific Northwest.
